What will it cost ?

Whether you consider studying at UK Universities and living in the UK to be a high cost or not depends on your personal budget. However, there is no denying that there are many expenses to cover - travel to the UK, University Course Fees, accommodation, food, socialising, books, staying in touch with friends and family and more. If at first it seems prohibitive, don't despair! There may be help at hand in the form of Scholarships and other types of financial assistance. All the price indications you will see in this section are in GBP - the Great British Pound - £. Being an International Student, your own currency is unlikely to be the Great British Pound! So maybe the starting point is to find the relationship between the GB£ and your own currency. It will help you to understand the costs in relation to what you can afford. If you need help with this, you will find a currency converter at the link below.

You will find well stocked supermarkets selling a huge range of fresh food as well as 'ready-meals'. Transport
When coming to the UK, you will have several questions to ask - How do I get to the UK and where will I arrive ? How will I get from my point of arrival to my accommodation? How will I get from my accommodation to my University ? And of course, how much will it all cost ?

Want to see examples of the costs other International Students have incurred whilst studying at a UK University?
Here is a very handy tool. I love it!You can see (in the 'Student Profiles' tab) examples of the actual costs other International students have incurred whilst studying in the UK. When you read the Student Profiles, you will also see their interesting comments about such things as "Best thing about the UK", "What do you wish you had known before you arrived?", "What advice would you give to other students coming to the UK?" and many others fascinating insights. Money
Whilst on the subject of money, it's probably worth spending a little time considering the topic in general. How, for example will you transfer the money to pay for your Course fees? Do you need to open a bank account in the UK, and if so how ? How can you transfer funds from your bank account at home to your bank account in the UK?
